International Experience
The Group contains the largest independent restructuring and insolvency firm in the UK and overall has a head count of over 130 and with 36 Partners across the Group’s 14 offices. The firm has worked in a wide range of overseas jurisdictions.
Our international activities in recent years have included the ongoing Administration of a listed UK company operating international gold mines and with other assets in Canada, Cyprus and Luxembourg.
Jo Rolls was the first insolvency practitioner authorised to accept insolvency appointments within the Qatar Financial Centre. Trevor Binyon and Gareth Wilcox also became authorised to act as insolvency practitioners in Qatar in July 2024.
Opus is also handling the Administration of the first major crypto-currency exchange to fail, a case involving aspects in Malta, Germany, China and the USA amongst many overseas locations.

Opus has advised a debtor in negotiations concerning their personal bankruptcy and the outstanding debts totalling several hundred US$ million, which the individual was alleged to owe to creditors in multiple jurisdictions all around the world
