With a career steeped in business recovery, Charles is an experienced restructuring and insolvency specialist, who specialises in working with SME owner managed businesses and individuals, helping to manage financial stress.

A specialist in legal and other professional practices, charity and not-for-profit organisations as well as the education sector. Charles provides services to charity and not-for-profit organisations assisting boards and trustees in fulfilling their financial, legal and governance obligations and is a provider of services to the education sector.

Charles’ wider roles include acting on the Charity Commission Interim Manager panel, R3 Council Member, Chair of R3 Training & Development Committee and Member of the IPA Disciplinary Committee. His role of R3 Council member and IP adviser for R3 includes developing policy and best practice with key stakeholders as well as contributing to consultation responses on recent legislation, including 2020 pandemic inspired changes.

Outside of work Charles is a keen hill walker with his dogs and loves a bit of escapism on his Ducati motorbike. His three grown children continue to keep him busy with their sporting activities and DIY requirements.
