Opus promotes Mark Boast to Partner

Opus Advisory Group has announced the promotion of Mark Boast to Partner, within its Restructuring & Insolvency division, recognising his outstanding contribution to the firm’s continued growth and his expertise in restructuring, turnaround and insolvency.

Now based in East Anglia, Mark has nearly two decades of experience advising businesses, lenders and stakeholders across a wide range of complex restructuring and insolvency matters. Since joining Opus in 2022, he has played a key role in supporting clients and professional contacts across London, the South East and nationally. Alongside these established relationships, Mark will have a particular focus on further developing Opus’ presence and network across East Anglia, delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice to businesses during periods of financial challenge.

The promotion follows another significant milestone in Mark’s career after becoming a licensed Insolvency Practitioner last year. Mark is also a member of the Financial Conduct Authority’s Insolvency Practitioners Panel, further demonstrating the depth of expertise he brings to his new role and strengthening Opus’ ability to provide clients with seamless, end-to-end advisory and formal insolvency services.

Mark has built his career by combining technical expertise with a practical, solutions-led approach, helping businesses navigate complex situations while working closely with directors, lenders and professional advisers to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Commenting on his promotion, Mark said, “I’m incredibly proud to become a Partner at Opus. Since joining the firm, I’ve been given the opportunity to develop professionally, work alongside exceptional colleagues and support clients through some of the most challenging periods in their business journey.”

He continues, “This promotion reflects the trust the business has placed in me, and I’m excited to continue helping grow our restructuring and insolvency practice, developing our talented team and delivering the high-quality advice our clients rely upon. Being based in East Anglia also gives me an exciting opportunity to further develop Opus’ relationships and presence across the region, while continuing to work closely with my existing clients and professional network across London, the South East and nationally.”

Trev Binyon, Managing Partner at Opus Advisory Group, said, “Mark and I have already been working closely together to build our relationships across East Anglia, particularly within the professional community in Norwich. There is a real opportunity for Opus in the region and we’re looking forward to continuing to develop our presence, combining strong local relationships with the specialist expertise and national capabilities of the wider Group.”

Tim Dolder, Managing Partner at Opus Advisory Group, added, “Mark’s promotion is thoroughly deserved and reflects both his technical ability and the way he works with clients and colleagues alike. He has consistently demonstrated the expertise, professionalism and commercial judgement that we look for in our Partners.”

Tim concludes, “At Opus, we’re committed to investing in our people and creating opportunities for talented individuals to develop their careers. Mark’s progression is another excellent example of that commitment, while also strengthening our ability to deliver specialist advice to businesses across the UK as we continue to grow.”

Mark’s promotion forms part of Opus’ ongoing investment in its people, services and national footprint, ensuring clients continue to benefit from experienced specialists who combine technical excellence with commercially focused advice tailored to every stage of the business lifecycle.
