David Butler’s career in the insolvency profession began in 1989 with a “short-term” secondment to his then firm’s Corporate Recovery department. The weeks turned into months and the rest as they say is history!
David has dealt with a wide variety of interesting insolvency and restructuring cases over the years – a shoe warehouse in Portugal, the entire contents of which were stolen the day before he flew out for a site visit, a 50 foot sailing yacht which went missing without trace in the Mediterranean, and a vacant house containing a reasonable quantity of a well-known class B drug, along with a parrot (or fat parakeet – the man from the RSPCA wasn’t 100% certain!)
Outside of the office, David is a keen skier, but he reluctantly admits that his two teenage sons are now more accomplished on skis than he is!
