Opus national coverage expands further with new Maidstone office

Following its latest office openings in Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle upon Tyne and Nottingham, the Opus Business Advisory Group has extended its network in the South East with the launch of a new office in Maidstone, increasing its capacity to offer advisory services to businesses and individuals right across the United Kingdom. The Group provides restructuring & insolvency, corporate finance, forensic and other allied specialties from each office within its UK network.

The new office in Knightrider Street is headed up by Adrian Dante, who has thirty years’ experience in the corporate recovery and advisory market. Adrian specialises in providing pre-insolvency advice to directors and other stakeholders via solicitors and accountants, with a focus on seeking positive outcomes to rescue businesses and save jobs. He has also been involved in asset tracing and civil recovery claims on behalf of HMRC.

With existing offices in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Croydon, Liverpool, Leeds, Milton Keynes, Newcastle upon Tyne and Nottingham, the addition of a Maidstone presence has increased geographic coverage still further and gives additional capacity to carry out nationwide and complex assignments.

The Group has grown rapidly since it was established in 2013 – from 5 partners and 2 locations at formation to 20 partners and over 40 team members in 10 locations now.

Adrian expects that 2021 will be an exceptionally challenging year for businesses and individuals as the economy struggles through what is hoped will be the final months of disruption during the pandemic and then the start of a recovery.

He said:

‘I am delighted to be joining the progressive team at Opus, as part of which I am looking forward to playing a key role in supporting businesses in Maidstone and further afield as they deal with the financial implications as the many government support schemes start to unwind. I share the Opus ethos of supporting people to find solutions rather than judging them, especially at a time when so many of the problems they face are not of their own making.

I plan to grow the local team in Maidstone as we identify opportunities but having access to the considerable resources and expertise of the whole Opus network, means that I shall be able to take on assignments of all sizes and across all sectors right from the outset.’

Jo Rolls a founding partner of Opus, adds:

‘It is already clear that 2021 is going to be every bit as difficult for the business community as last year was. Not only will owners and directors have to find a way through the cash flow issues that the ending of government support will inevitably trigger, but then they must cope with the working capital pressures as their businesses start to grow once more.

Bringing Adrian on board will be another significant step as we grow our national network and one in keeping with our philosophy of offering a high quality national service, but one firmly rooted in strong local relationships. We look forward to continuing to play our part with confidence in achieving the best outcomes possible for the broad range of stakeholders.’
