Opus has today announced the opening of a new office in Sheffield, marking a strategic expansion of its presence across the East Midlands and Yorkshire.

Director, Luke Brough, currently based in Nottingham, will manage the Sheffield office alongside Executive Partner, Louise Williams. The pair will co-lead both the Sheffield and Nottingham bases, strengthening Opus’ footprint across the two regions and enhancing support for local businesses, lenders, accountants and legal advisers.

The move follows significant growth in Nottingham, where the team has expanded by 60% over the past 12 months. With increasing demand for restructuring and insolvency expertise, the firm says the Sheffield launch is a natural next step, driven by capacity, strong professional relationships and a clear need for on-the-ground support.

Luke will be based in Sheffield and brings with him longstanding relationships across the South Yorkshire professional community, including key contacts in the legal and accountancy sectors. He comments, “Sheffield has always been an important market for us. We’ve built strong relationships here over several years, and the time is right to establish a permanent base.
