Opus is now an ABTA Partner
July 28, 2021
Opus Business Advisory Group is pleased to announce it has become an ABTA Partner with ABTA travel association. ABTA has been a trusted travel brand for 70 years, offering advice and guidance to the travelling public, as well as leading the travel industry in supporting high service standards and promoting responsible tourism at home and abroad.
The travel industry has arguably been the most affected sector during the pandemic, facing huge disruption both home and abroad. The sector continues to encounter a wide range of challenges from uncertain travel restrictions, supply chain and staffing issues, to loan repayments, deferred liabilities and tight cash flow.
On the 21st of July, Opus Partner, David Butler, joined industry experts for ABTA’s webinar series discussing financial resilience and funding solutions for travel businesses. Using recent case studies, David discussed the broad options available to travel businesses in distress from business reviews, restructuring and turnaround, insolvency advice, avenues of funding and investment, as well as possibilities for mergers and acquisitions. David outlined that the key for businesses is to approach professional services at the first sign of difficulty when the most options are available to them.
Partners and staff across the various Opus service lines have extensive experience and knowledge of the travel sector. There are many ways in which we can support tour operators and travel agents, their owners and their management. Our strong international connections and experience mean we are also available to assist with overseas issues. We look forward to working in partnership with ABTA to support business in the travel industry through the pandemic and in the long-term.
