We are delighted to announce that Stella Davis has joined the current 10 Restructuring & Insolvency Partners at Opus Restructuring & Insolvency and will be working closely with the other divisions within the Opus Business Services Group. A Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, known for her incredibly high standard of work and quality of service, Stella has over 19 years’ experience in both corporate and personal restructuring & insolvency assignments with a focus on finding innovative solutions to the most problematic situations.

Prior to joining Opus, Stella built her career at a boutique practice, working across a number of market sectors. On her move to Opus, Stella explains,

‘Opus appealed to me because of its focus on the SME market, the wider Group Service offerings and its core values. The Partners are forward thinking and look to see how businesses can be supported through the wide breadth of services it offers. This is important to me and how I like to work’.

The Group offers services to support the entire business lifecycle through its dedicated complementary divisions delivering advisory, turnaround, corporate finance and forensic accounting services together with assisting business in securing cash flow and asset funding. The wider services are particularly relevant to supporting businesses when looking at the current economic slowdown which is causing significant challenges, with insolvency rates on the increase. An insolvency outlook report by Atradius forecasts business failure rates will increase by 10% this year in Britain.

Key right now is that companies need to act with speed if the Owners/Management identify problems in the business before the challenges become too big. Stella adds,

‘There are many businesses across the UK which have been ‘surviving’ rather than thriving and one small change such as an increase in interest rates could send them over the edge. We want to be working with businesses as early as possible so that we can help them with solutions to save their business rather than taking them down the insolvency route’.

Tim Dolder, Partner at Opus concludes, ‘With an ever-changing business landscape, we need to be able to respond to situations effectively and efficiently to exceed the expectations of those who engage with us. Stella is a like-minded Partner who is entirely in tune with the Opus ethos. We are delighted to have Stella on board.’
